Spousal and Child Support

The New Brunswick government has adopted the Federal Guidelines to calculate the necessary amount of child support, typically paid by the parent who does not have primary custody.

The Guidelines contain rules and tables which help parents or their attorneys determine a reasonable amount of child support, taking into account the number of children under the age of majority and the income of the spouse against whom the child support order is sought.

Child support must cover everyday costs of raising a child, such as feeding, clothing, housing, and, in some cases, special or extraordinary expenses, including health-related costs or educational and extracurricular activities.

Filling out the information was straight forward. The only struggles was to find my ex for his address and employment information.
